Silence The King's Decree, a
child secret there'll be.
Silence was
written in the 13th century by Heldriss of Cornwall, but was lost to
history until 1911 The story of a young woman, named Silence (pronounced 'See Lawns'), the only daughter of a noble family who is raised as a boy because the fictitious King Evan of England denied women the right to inherit property. Her training so successful, she soon proves not only equal, but superior to male peers in riding, hunting, wrestling, skill at arms, and musical talent.
The gender debate
presented in
Silence is
hundreds of years ahead of its time. We won't tell you any more than this. You'll have to come to our debut of Silence to find out what happens. See you there at 7:30 pm June 27 and 28 at the Village Hall in Melbourne Village. Tickets are $25, which includes Medieval Morsels. For tickets and information call (321) 984-8832.
